Men Should Weep (September 2010): Robert will start rehearsals for a new production of the play Men Should Weep at the National Theatre in early September. Written by Ena Lamont Stewart in 1947, this popular, gritty Scottish play (hailed as one of the most important plays of the 20th Century in the National Theatre millennium poll) deals with the plight of the women in one family in East Glasgow during the extreme poverty of the 1930s Depression. Men Should Weep opens in the Lyttelton Theatre on 26 October 2010.

Taggart (July 2010):Robert has just finished filming his third guest appearance on the long-running Scottish detective drama, Taggart. Will update with the episode name and air date when available.

The Cellar (June 2010):Robert and his team are in pre-production for their next project, a psychological thriller to be set in a Scottish castle.

Pimp (May 2010) premiere: Watch the official trailer on YouTube. UK film premiere is May 19th in London. Pimp then opens in theatres on the 21st with the film being available in DVD and other formats on May 24th.

Pimp (April 2010) update: Robert has confirmed that PIMP premieres at the Curzon in Soho (London) on May 19th and then opens on May 21st, 2010 - cinema release, DVD, Sky, Pay-Per-View, etc. all in one go. See a few shots of the production in the photo gallery.

The first press screening of the British thriller took place on April 7th, 2010.

Casualty (February 2010): Robert made another guest appearance on this long-running medical drama. The episode entitled 'Love Is a Battlefield' aired on February 13th.

Pimp (January 2010) update: According to an article in the online Shetland Times, "...the Robert Cavanah film Pimp: Scratched Inside, starring Danny Dyer and Billy Boyd [is] to be aired in over 200 cinemas across the UK in March."

Pimp (August 2009) update: Filming is finally going ahead the first week of August 2009. Robert is sharing the producing hat with Royd Tolkien. Billy Boyd might make an appearance in this production!

The Water's Edge (February 2009): Robert performed in a production of The Water's Edge at the Arcola Theatre in London.
